COST-EFFECTIVE COURSES
Over the last two years FEU Training has developed an innovative course programme focusing on business skills tailored to what you've told us are your key needs. These one-day courses were rolled out between 20 September 2010 - 11 March 2011 at £25 as part of the FEU 2010 Autumn training programme.
Although these courses are not currently (April 2011-March 2012) being offered, if you are interested in any of these course, please let us know as we can organise them if demand is sufficient. Depending on demand, we'll also run courses in other regions. To express an interest, please email info@feutraining.org. stating what course/s and your favoured location.
FREE ONE-DAY WORKSHOPS
The first free one-day workshops were delivered last year as Make Impact and Maintain Momentum. Topics covered included writing an effective CV, Marketing, Motivation & Goal Setting, and Social Media. These one-day workshops continue to provide training in key business skills for freelance creatives.
This year, having secured funding for a further year April 2011 - March 2012, FEU training will be running a series of FREE one-day workshops in London, Manchester and Birmingham. Look out for emails from your unions advertising the workshops.
Managing Your Business kicks off on Saturday 23 July in London at the NUJ.
If you have signed up as a member of the FEU Training site you will be on the FEU database and will be sent an email when the next free day workshops are running. Otherwise, notification of these training and learning opportunities will be sent via your union. To ensure that everyone has a fair chance there will be an equal number of places offered to all participating unions with an agreed cut-off date. Places will be selected randomly from these groups and extra places will be given to those on the waiting list.
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR PAID-FOR COURSES
Courses are open to FEU members in England and Northern Ireland. Members outside England and Northern Ireland are welcome to book places online by signing up to the website.
As this is a funded project, the FEU can only run courses if it receives sufficient demand. This means that, in rare cases, we may need to re-schedule or cancel courses. If this should happen, we will let you know 10 days in advance and arrange for your money to be re-funded.
We are unable to refund any non-transferable travel expenses that may arise from a course reschedule or cancellation.
