Test yourself in English, Maths and ICT
To help you assess your ability in essential skills areas or just for fun, unionlearn (run by the TUC) has devised a set of short quizzes in English, Maths and ICT (information and communication technologies) along with other areas of interest including:
- Everyday Finances
- Grammar Matters
- ICT – getting started
- English Literacy
- Maths – basics
- Maths – step up
- Green Skills and environmental awareness
- Staying safe online
Each quiz takes about 15 minutes to complete (depending on your knowledge of the topic) and aims to help you pinpoint the areas in which you may need to brush up your skills so you can achieve better results at work and home.
NOTE: we would much appreciate your participation because, as well as helping you to learn about a number of topics, completing these assessments (especially those in maths, English and ICT) will help us to meet the targets that we need to qualify for the funding that allows us to provide you with our free online programme.
When you register, you will be asked ‘Are you undertaking this learning assessment in association with unionlearn/TUC Education? Please select ‘Non-unionlearn’ from the dropdown menu and then choose your union, e.g, Equity, MU, NUJ or WGGB.
Once you’ve registered, simply select English, Maths or ICT to get started. You can log in at any time to complete the quizzes using your registration details.
On completion, you'll receive an online badge to acknowledge that you've taken the assessment.
New learners need to complete a short registration process by providing your name, email address, password, postcode, region and union. There is also an optional field for mobile number.
If the quizzes uncover areas that you’d like to find out more about or encourage you to develop your skills in any other way, please contact us and we’ll see if we can refer you to the appropriate training: firstname.lastname@example.org
